This is a natural cycle happening every two to three thousand years and last for about seven hundred years before it gets as cold as it was around thousand years ago! It's all verifyed science! It's depending on changes in the galactic gravity fields and effect our solar system.

Would be interesting if you could messer the magnetic gravity fields to see changes! I've used to listen to their pulses on long and middle wave in 1974 when I studied algebra and electronics. We need some forms of galactic compass! It's important for space travel and sunbursts.

LOL, if the story is accurate, it was named Greenland to attract people to venture out there to settle it. If he called it a giant island of nothing but snow, he would not get anyone to agree to go.
