Or do we have any type of device which can determine the molecules of the interplanetary compounds by the radiation that it gives out? -
It's Sodium Carbonate (Na2CO3 aka what makes ramen noodles so stretchy). Dawn had a Gamma Ray/Neutron Detector and a Visible Light/Infrared Sprectrometer, which let it determine what compounds are on Ceres' (and Vesta's) surface

Pluto has a radius of 1188km and Ceres has a radius of 473km. So Pluto is about 2.5x the size.
