I always wonder whether fashion is a consideration when designing such suits. Obviously it takes a back seat, but whether it's even a factor at all is fascinating.

Spacesuit design depends on where you're going & what you're doing. ISS suits are designed specifically for microgravity. Mars spacesuits will be more like ones we use for the Moon, they'll be designed to withstand radiation. The main focus is always safety & durability.

Manned space missions are a huge waste of money. The future of space exploration is robotic. The federal budget deficit is- well, astronomical and will get far worse because of COVID. Let’s look forward, not backward, and go with robotic missions.
