After listening to a copy which has knocks and hits, it really sounds consistent to water dripping from a faucet.

Yes, i think is liquid dripping into metal. Constant freq are the standar liquid drops, stronger ones fall from something that is grouping the drops, and after a time this big liquid drop falls.
