Yes, Sagittarius A* is our resident supermassive black hole. It's actually harder to image since the rest of our own galaxy is blocking the view. M87 is almost exactly perpendicular to us, so we have a very clear view from the top.

This is amazing how it puts the black hole in context! Thanks! It seems that the orientation of the third picture does not match the orientation of the second picture, should it be rotated a few degrees for the jet to go right and not up?

That black hole looks like the wormhole on that science fiction series about parallel universes with alternative histories. It looks like the Einstein Rosen bridge wormhole special effect. Science fiction is now science fact black holes exist.
