Those are not water tracks. If anything they are from a comet that caught the Planet with a gentle tug, causing it to roll. This caught object then bounced up, landing a Carter mark.

A new milestone has been accomplished in the exploration of the Red Planet; NASA's InSight has landed on the surface of planet Mars on November 26th, 2018. The robotic lander will dig down to five meters under the surface of planet Mars. It will look for geological activities.

NASA's InSight has landed on Elysium Planitia near the Martian equator. It will also look for "marsquakes", which are the equivalent of earthquakes on the Red Planet. This mission will help to understand better our own planet and learn more about the origin of the Solar System.
