What are they looking for?
We're looking to understand the deep interior of Mars. How waves pass through that area will tell us more about the composition of the planet and the formation of all rocky planets.

Planes, but NASA's plans to support life I believe don't currently extend to actual people being on the surface, rather being in orbit of Mars. SpaceX's plans do extend to a Mars colony by 2027 (?) but they have always been too confident with their dates.
