Landing sequence is different than Curiosity but very similar to the Mars Phoenix Lander.
That's right! It’s actually extremely similar to Phoenix, the spacecraft we landed in 2008. Our parachute and heat shield are a little different, but the sequence is largely the same. It’s different than Curiosity, which uses a “sky crane” to lower a rover to the surface.
