Yes but traditionally we find that giant gas planets are closer into their star unlike our solar system and asteroid belt. So,something is missing in modern science. We also have an odd moon and Venus spinning backward. Hope you can help us all on these questions.
That's an idea that dates back to the early 19th century, but modern science understands that's likely not the answer. It's more likely that massive Jupiter kept planets from forming out of material accreting in the region of asteroid belt.
