I guess I hadn't really considered the fact that there are no earthquakes on Mars.

There are marsquakes on Mars. Only good ol' Terra has earthquakes.

How strong is Martian wind? If I flew a kite on Earth that just barely won't pull me over on a typical windy day for Earth, and then I stand on Mars with a kite, will it pull me over in a typical Martian windy day?
-
The kite probably wouldn’t rise at all. The wind can be fairly fast on Mars, but the air pressure is so low that there’s very little mass, and therefore force behind it. Maybe not even enough for a kite, but flapping on a super sensitive seismometer...

It may seems so mundane, but it never fail to awe me: wind, because of the atmosphere, the Martian one, not ours. It seems so strange to me to think that you are on another planet but still you get wind, an actual, proper, alien wind.
-
I expected wind, But nowhere near enough to move the cable like that, Holy crap that's amazing.
