i can't see wires from lander or solar panel, how do you power it? does it have a battery? how long will it last?

The surface of mars looks a lot like the Australian outback...

Australia’s deserts are extremely ancient like Mars so there is a geological similarity. The red desert appearance is due to the iron rusting on Mars over a very long time. There isn’t much water but over time it’s enough to rust a lot of planet Mars. Mars is hyper-arid today.
