Julia Breed is a Goddard Earth Science opportunity development manager, inspired by her daughter Madeleine. “She is kind and fun, and she pushes her own boundaries and excels at work and life. She reminds me of the young female scientists that I get to work with here at Goddard.”

Niloo Naderi is a team lead in program analysis and control. She is inspired by her aunt, Irandokht. A school principal, Niloo's aunt "had an aura of authority that showed who was in charge! But she also always had a kind word and a smile for me."

Thermal engineer Brenna Freeman is inspired by her grandmother, Julie. “She traveled the world with my grandfather and, while living in southeast Asia, raised 5 children. When my father became a widower, she stepped up and helped raise me and my sister.”

Goddard business manager Jennifer Neptune struggles to pick just one woman who inspires her. “There isn’t just one that stands out in my life, there are so many,” she said. “All I have to do is look around a room where I’m not the only woman to find inspiration.”
