I just found out that Boeing, not SpaceX, was scheduled to be the first to carry astronauts to the ISS? That was a surprise! SpaceX has been to ISS many times but this is Boeing's first? How can Boeing possibly be the NASA choice as the first (American co.) to carry humans?

SpaceX is like NASA stepchild. But the truly smart and clever.

Lots of qualifiers there. Waiting for the "first time an American-made, human-rated capsule has landed on land after a successful mission."

Um, but the American-made, human-rated Shuttle actually landed on a runway instead of dumping in the dirt somewhere.

I watched it live. The picture quality sucked for an astronomy agency funded by a government.

The US military's budget is just under 700 billion dollars, that's why they can afford all of their machinery whenever they need it. The government has spent just over $600B on NASA the entire time it's existed. That's why missions take so long to actually take place, also.
