I initially read it as busyway. Maybe it should be called a 'busyway', ala 'business', to better market the idea that this is a solution for busy residents to get around the city.

This pilot project could be implemented in Portland, Oregon. We need a Portland Commissioner that will challenge PDOT to look at global transportation analogues. http://www.jackkerfoot2020.com

Not magic; give public transit in general and bus in particular the priority, and amazing results happen. Everywhere. Read recent results of NYC's 14th Street. Cost? Just paint + Vision and Guts to do.

Obviously more people are riding the bus. I'd be interested in "total number of people that used 14th street". There is a drop in the number of cars. My guess is that the increase in bus riders more than offset the decrease in car trips, but I'd love to see the calculation done.

Toronto's King Street pilot has been similarly successful. Faster streetcars, more foot and bike traffic.

I skimmed through report but couldn't find this: were you able to make any estimates of people throughput? before vs after? Clearly, the streetscape is way less chaotic and more people friendly.

Perhaps
@SamSchwartzEng can answer.
