I was a member of the NAACP for 10-years, including 3-years on the Board of Directors. The Island-wide Chapter on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. I retired as Chief of Police after serving Edgartown for 33-years. (15-years as police chief. 1995-2010.) The NAACP is irrelevant.

Derrick Johnson, President & CEO of the NAACP told Roland Martin this morning when asked, that it's been a courtesy extended to EVERY sitting POTUS. In typical 45 fashion, he tried to dictate the format, date, time, etc. They told him, "NOPE" in the interest of fairness
