So does this mean even if channels meet the requirements of watch time & subs, if they're let's say, 'NOT family friendly',

It's the advertisers that are investing in the ad space, and they are well within their right to pull ads if videos don't fit their criteria... that's business.

I understand that. And that's how it's been. We were all monetized, & some of our vidz got demonetized. What I'm saying is, if our channel gets fully demonetized, can YouTube just not give us the monetization feature if we're not family friendly?EVEN if we get 4k+ hrs watch time?

Probably not since they are moving to a manual review process in order to determine whether or not you can monetize moving forward. Basing things on automated algorithms is what has screwed up YT to begin with.

No the manual review is only for YouTubers who are in Google Preferred. Not for youtubers who aren't 'family friendly'.
