For weeks our folks have braved the streets to hold our government accountable to the ways in which they have continuously failed the Black community. For weeks, we have put our lives at risk to stem the tide of rising violence that’s been perpetrated on our loved ones.
We are in the midst of a tectonic shift in how the United States understands its history and the lives of Black folks. Our mobilization this weekend was only one small part of that. And it was beautiful.
We weaved together a beautiful tapestry of actions and engagements across the country, showing the full length and breadth of this movement. We celebrated together. We mourned together. And we deepened our commitment to building together.pic.twitter.com/wlBQw5edgr
While Monday marks the end of our weekend of action, we look forward to working with you all for the liberation of Black people and the liberation of all.pic.twitter.com/rm30WX4MOI
Weeks ago we couldn’t imagine this but now we’re on the brink of making real wins towards defunding police and building new visions of community safety, infrastructure, and recovery.pic.twitter.com/FulvaRSMX7

M4BL was created as a space for Black organizations across the country to debate and discuss the current political condition and develop shared assessments of what political interventions were necessary in order to achieve key policy, cultural & political wins.pic.twitter.com/3ZVa2A6JVL
More than anything, to co-create a shared movement-wide strategy under the fundamental idea that we can achieve more together than we can separately.pic.twitter.com/GndbcFai6q
If you took action with us this weekend -- either virtually or in person -- we thank you for inviting us into your hearts and helping us to shape the future of our movement-- together. And we want to urge you to stay connected with the M4BL ecosystem.pic.twitter.com/QDgjrb6mp3
How? Whether you joined an action this weekend locally or you saw what was lifted up nationally, we can and will help you find the political home you need to accomplish our shared goals. https://m4bl.org/week-of-action-2/ …
Help us build a nationwide campaign to defund the police. We are building the tools and resources that you can take into your local community to create solutions that mitigate harm and risk for our families and loved ones. We need your help. https://m4bl.org/week-of-action-2/ …pic.twitter.com/EdSsSjp2Z8
