The next 1000X crypto probably won’t be a dApp platform, just like the next Bitcoin wasn’t another cryptocurrency. My thesis is that it’s one of these categories - 1. Stablecoins 2. Oracles 3. Interoperability 4. DEX protocols. Luckily unlike VC, crypto needs are more obvious.

ETH, NEO, and STRAT are all utility tokens for dApp platforms that have gone 1000X since their ICO. I'm not sure I buy the store of value argument here.
-
They are all overvalued
-
That doesn't matter. All that matters is that you hit your goals.

The market (and prices) so far have been run up by unsophisticated investors. This is not sustainable, and the next 3 years will be different from the last 3 years.
-
I mean you’re effectively saying either Maker, Basis, Fragments or someone else will be the only 1000X winner. That mindset is the same as a maximalist and that’s why you’ll be wrong.
-
I never said a single project will be the only winner. I said the *biggest* winner among them will be winner-take-most.

70-20-6–2-1-1 type distribution

I’m not disagreeing with that. I can already see that with ETH and BTC. You said only stablecoins can go 1000X and I think you’ll be wrong. We’re on the road to $4T and more. There’s no way only stablecoins go that high.

Disagree. Only a stable stablecoin could x1000. Nothing on the horizon, yet
-
Can you elaborate?

Stablecoin development is still in Petrie dish. Current offerings that have raised capital of $130m and less, have potential downward spiral attack vectors. A transitional phase is required for next 3-5yrs

You need money to bootstrap these fragile systems early on before a network effect develops

@MustStopMurad can you explain (or point to something that explains) how a stablecoin pegged to USD can appreciate at all against USD (unless it breaks peg)? Isnt 1mm “invested” in USDT at inception still worth 1mm USD today which is actually a testament to its success (thus far) -
Many upcoming stablecoins (Basis, Carbon, Fragments) have shares as well, when demand goes up, these shares pay you new stablecoins

Some upcoming stablecoins have underlying "shares" which pay you new stablecoins if stablecoin mcap increases
