I simply doubt people will want state controlled fiat in a world of competing, unseizable, unstoppable, open-source, uninflatablr cryptocurrencies

We live in this world you doubt can exist.

We do now but cryptpcurrencies are only recent inventions. Your thesis is backwards-facing not forward-looking

Talking about central banks "collapsing" is not something I'm willing to entertain either. It's not how banks work. Its how bitcoiners that don't understand bitcoin and banks talk about banks.

Maybe. But banks collapsing "en masse" is surely a possible, even likely, scenario.

It's only likely and plausible if you don't understand how banks work. So I would like one of you claiming this scenario to declare when you understand how central banking works?

Surely banks can collapse. Happens all the time and a complete bank collapse would have happened in 2008 without the massive bail-out intervention. Are you disagreeing with this

You are getting blocked Erem if you next post to me doesn't declare whether you understand the role and function of central banks. And if you assert you do, I will demand you demonstrate it.

Please not threats of blocking. :-) As you know. I am interested in learning more about your pov, not trolling you. A Central bank's role is to manage the economy by regulating the supply of money. Low interest rate=cheap to borrow, more money production. High rate: Vice versa.

The proper management of the money creates a slightly deflationary trend which would be perfectly stable versus bitcoin. To suggest they cannot achieve this is to not understand their operations.

You do realize the world’s nations is in deep debt right? If they go from current printing to slightly deflationary, the entire current debt pyramid will collapse

You are getting blocked if your next post to me isn't your declaration of whether you know how central banks work and what their function is.
