Don't like the term crypto asset. It implies that the asset is secret. There's no good privacy oriented, digital medium of exchange with utility even close to the $100 USD bill. Nothing comes close.

I dislike the term too, but cryptocurrency is even worse Anyways, USD is the ultimate scamcoin, so I'd prefer to avoid it as much as possible As a tech guy I'd say no other blockchain-based ledger comes close to Monero's privacy features, but I'm open to learning something new

As a tech guy are you aware that if you buy monero on a KYC exchange that it is far less private than bitcoin purchased well? As an investor in
#monero do you really think bitcoin (who’s devs invented the tech) won’t deploy it when it’s actually ready for production?3 replies 0 retweets 7 likes -

There is a chance Bitcoin remains more akin to a Public Neo-Gold, without mandatory full 100% privacy, not just for technical reasons but for political/ideological ones. IF that’s the case, a privacy coin race winner may carve out a 10-20% chunk of the SoV market a la Dark Silver

#Bitcoin will get confidential transactions. And if it causes a split that will be good for investors that choose well. If someone wanted to release CT enabled bitcoin they could do that tomorrow, but without the scammy marketing garbage no one is interested.2 replies 1 retweet 5 likes -

don't hold your breath for Level 1 Bitcoin private transactions, probably a Level 2 sidechain with some light privacy features, but that's what lightning already enables today.

You will "never" see Bullet Proofs on the main and BTW they are still using much more space than regular Bitcoin transactions.https://twitter.com/robzon/status/989658222209400837 …

Lol. It’s open source software. As soon as it’s ready it will be implemented by someone. And if it’s better money it is bitcoin.

My take is that grin will become the privacy oriented medium of exchange for bitcoin

Can you explain how you see this working?

Atomic swaps. Grin does amazing crypto magic keeping the blockchain opaque (no addresses, no amounts), but emission is linear (constant inflation) so not very attractive as store of value (but great as a medium of exchange)
