In any true cryptocurrency, major consensus changes are difficult. In all cryptocurrencies, design decisions made early on affect the possible shapes of the future network. This limits the ability to adopt features from other chains. /2

One simple example: Cryptourrencies designed with privacy from day 0 will be much better at delivering privacy than currencies that didn't incorporate privacy the early project DNA. /4

I read this as “XMR/ZEC can still carve out 10-30% of the SoV market because BTC privacy is unlikely to ever be as good on base layer.”
