Bitcoin is Neo-Gold. So Bitcoin is Wealth. What your argument is, is that Bitcoin can be Wealth, but it is not good "Money", because even at its peak, it's 2-3% appreciation per year, disincentivizes it's transactional usage and expenditure. Correct?

or, alternately: Bitcoin pretends to be Neo-Gold. So Bitcoin pretends to be wealth.

Bitcoin is just like gold! If you could make new gold mines any time you liked by cut'n'paste.https://davidgerard.co.uk/blockchain/2017/11/20/there-can-only-ever-be-21-million-forks-of-bitcoin-a-survey-so-far/ …

Frances your assertion here that 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin gold = 1 super bitcoin = 1 bitcoin diamond is asinine. Pyrite is not gold in any meaningful sense related to value.

your reading of the post is asinine, it doesn't say anything of the sort. Also, that's not my name.

I know who Frances is and who wrote the blog. Have I not responded properly to this: "Bitcoin is just like gold! If you could make new gold mines any time you liked by cut'n'paste." That a copy/paste of the code is also bitcoin?

Why did you address your reply to me, if you knew I did not write the post?

Because I know you would never agree with something so silly and yet you liked it, perhaps I meant "imply rather than assert". Or perhaps I misunderstand what he meant. Seems like he wants to say bitcoin x or bitcoin y is like opening gold mine 2 or gold mine 3.

I retweeted it, and bookmarked it with a "like". You do know likes on Twitter can be used as bookmarks?

BTC is limited to 21 million. But the market for all cryptos - coins, ICOs, Ripple-like things - is one market, and traders trade between them. Functionally it's one pool of stuff called "crypto". Bitcoin maximalists' claims that BTC is in a separate market are delusional.

If you think that Ripple is as good as Bitcoin then... I have no comments. Amazon exists, and different web retailers pop up every year. Doesn’t change a thing. Amazon keeps growing due to its superior characteristics and network effects.

if you think that's what I was saying, then your reading comprehension is defective.
