What is the most you would pay to trade on a decentralized exchange with no withdrawal limits, global liquidity, good UX, and no custody risk? Maker+taker fees for the lowest volume (retail) customers: Bittrex charges 0.5% Bitfinex charges 0.3% Poloniex charges 0.4%
1/ DEX don't have to custody user funds so their operational costs will be an order of magnitude lower than CEX. This coupled with competition among biggest 0x relayers will make fees <0.2% if not lower.

2/ Eventually, many CEX will have a hard time competing with DEX on fees. But of course we need to get there. DEX is a new paradigm and we need consumer education of its utility. Great relayer UX and a foray into China (kickstart 'globality' of network liquidity) will be critical
