I love Bitcoin, but the idea that we should only have one crypto is the opposite of decentralization. It's like saying we should only have one company doing business in the world just because it does it well. Alts will continue to have their place, whether you like it or not.

To answer your second question, other usecases might exist, but 1) they are 1000x smaller than money, 2) those tokens don’t accrue value. For cryptoassets, Value accrues to only something you want to hold for a long, long time. That’s only a Monetary Store of Value. This is why:

all of it is actually doable, the hard part is that to surpass bitcoin, a currency would also have to outlive it - have a history of working, functioning and existing longer than bitcoin - if you realize this it's obvious all "the next bitcoins" are just bootlegs
