are there any direct, SoV competitors to Bitcoin - digital gold use case? (not utility coins that act as SoV)
-
BTC is most likely contender in my view. I also like ZEC, DCR, XMR.

Good stuff. Do these change over time? For example, the quality of team mattering more early than later - or do you think they’re relatively constant?
-
^Great question. I would assume they change over time. As you mentioned, maybe quality of team matters less over time while something like decentralization matters more over time
-
Undeniably the ranking of importance changes over time. But if one of these becomes a global reserve currency, the team maintaining it is still extremely important, if not more.

Fixed supply ERC20 tokens have better or worse monetary policy than bitcoin?
@MustStopMurad -
Not even comparable. Bitcoin is the most reliable fixed-supply because we have proof that even smaller aspects of bitcoin are extremely hard to change by outsiders. (NYA, NO2X, BCH etc.)

You missed fungibility. Ticks for everything else.

That’s under Privacy, but yeah, should have made that clearer.
-
I thought that, but it is slightly different.

really like this. what about liquidity?
-
I think that's under 19.
-
Liquidity is deeply related to market cap, and also usage. Also, yup, it’s tied to the depth of financialization which I mentioned under (19).

Great framework! Order is obviously subjective. Feels like it’s missing MOE, utility/network effects, and Lindy effect? Finally, you rate many properties ahead of governance yet they are determined and maintained by governance. Governance is the elephant in the room.

I would argue Network Effects should be much higher up on this list. Especially with all projects being open sourced, I think Network Effects is one of the few ways to create a moat. Here is a thread where I explore this!https://mobile.twitter.com/Crypto_Alex17/status/1019770017561305088 …

One can aggregate these traits to groups/layers, at keast it seems seems some are supply side characteristics (how currency is constructed), and some others are overall result (are they accepted/trusted). I'd rather put them on different scales.
