"Blocking me just because [I have the better position]" No, that's not why you're being blocked or dismissed... Not even close. You really don't get this stuff. And you have the arrogance to think you do despite a lot of evidence to the contrary.

Just show me, where my counter argument is flawed. Just pretending, that I don't understand it, isn't an argument.

Your problem is presenting much platitude w/o giving any specific evidence of colluding in Bitcoin mining. So far Bitcoin mining remains purely capitalist. Only a strong world government can be lobbied to form mining cartels.

      1. Humans tend to cooperate willfully, if it's profitable for them 2. Cooperating has costs, which are mainly determined by the size of the group. The larger the group, the higher the costs 3. Cooperating happens, if the cost < profit

Large or even unlimited block sizes will increase the capex and opex to run a mining pool. Continously increasing capex and opex will most likely lead to a consolidation of the supply side of a market, here mining pools. Currently there are about 20(?) pools. It's not enough.

Obviously your point is valid, but whether the effect is significant enough to matter is debatable. E.g., miners want to pool _anyways_ for variance reduction. Unless capex/opex for large blocks is the _dominant_ cost, I don't see that it matters. Agree? @MZietzke's position?

I don't know if it really matters, but it reminds me of a common strategy in mature industries, where mayor players try to increase their market share by driving the fixed cost up, which outprices smaller participants.

In which industries would it be easier to do so? One where firms compete over a single dimension of market competition, or one where they compete over many dimensions?

can you give examples of all these different dimensions wrt to Bitcoin with large blocks?

The obvious two, before even beginning to look at ancillary services, are hash power and tx processing capabilities. In a limited block size environment, it's only hash power. We could also unpack tx processing capabilities into connectivity to other nodes, sigops capacity, etc.

Ancillary services include zero conf assurance, blockchain data retrieval (archival nodes, essentially,) and I'd presume op code based extensions services too, among many other possibilities.

Ultimately it's about two things... First, splitting investments into different aspects of the business (including aspects of major business decisions like cheap electricity vs latency minimization,) and second, increasing revenue generation with hardware needed for mining.
