It should be easy to know when you’ve found the official YouTube channel of a creator, artist, brand, or public figure. So in late October, we’re updating what it means for channels to be “Verified” w/ new eligibility criteria & a new look. Details → https://yt.be/help/3QfB pic.twitter.com/JXOvMbkbns
Honestly YouTube, instead of getting rid of the Verified, it would have been smarter to add an additional thing for companies. Because the way I see it, you just made it way easier for spam videos and impersonators to mooch views from the real channels. Fix this please.

In my opinion, Verified should be used to let viewers know they’re in the right channel, and maybe you should have a separate function similar to “verified” to further set others apart. Honestly that would have been better than getting rid of verified all together.

But as usual, YouTube never listens and would rather squash it’s creators spirits. Never thought I’d say this, but it’s time for a new platform. They don’t care, and this proves they care more about the money than the ones who made YouTube what it is today. Disappointing.
