For more than 50 years, the poet Haidari Wujodi’s window desk in a Kabul library — overlooking the hustle & bustle of a city unrecognizable to the day he arrived as a young clerk — has been a stop for those seeking a corner away from all the fog of life.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/25/world/asia/afghanistan-poet-haidari-wujodi.html …

        2. “The heart is like a mirror,” Mr. Wujodi said. “If it is cleansed of the dust and fog, whichever way or object you aim it at the reflection of it would be reflected in the mirror.” (Video: Kiana Hayeri, who shot the gorgoues photos for the story)pic.twitter.com/P1z2Y7yy63

I knew of Haidari Wujodi's poetry -- mainly the couple beautiful pieces that @daryafarhad has turned into memorable songs. But I didn't know of his story, his corner of light. Thanks to @FreshtaKarim for telling me months ago - & I found him recently in my own great need of peace
