    I really hope the people (rightly) decrying racism against Chinese and other Asian people also devote energy to examining how their defense of a regime that allowed an outbreak to become a global epidemic makes them complicit, & in more than just racism.

    After work I watch late night comedy shows religiously😛: Seth Meyers, Colbert, Trevor Noah. The dem candidate who gets the most jokes made about him is Sanders. Most are light jabs that enhance his branding, make him relatable. Then Biden, Pete. Warren is rarely mentioned.

    It's really the same issue we see over and over again with the Chinese govt. The state is good at mobilizing once a major crisis has happened, but very bad at identifying a potential crisis and containing it. It lacks flexibility, trust-building & the right incentive structure.
