    I often explain my colleagues that being today is full of obstacles - eg tacit rules, obstructive practices. This applies to big corporations as much as to academia. But few take it seriously while is embedded in legislations, and phobia turns into hatred.

    Many diaspora Iranians share the anti-Arabness and Islamophobia of their neocon, pro-interventionist allies. Arabs that support anti-interventionism in MUST be Hezbollah and Hamas! White people who are anti-imperialist? They are communists!!

    French communists making common cause with Hezbollah supporters to beat up Iranian leftists that were persecuted by a theocracy is the perfect distillation of all that's wrong with the western left.
