Op-Ed on the anti-democratic shenanigans of both parties, presumably in order to save our democracy. From supporting debate dodgers to embracing the most ludicrous of carpetbaggers. Op-Ed focused on the former.http://helenair.com/tncms/asset/editorial/ad9d97f0-a89b-52f4-811f-199e88ef78c1 …

Oh yes, let’s both sides the “anti-democratic shenanigans of both parties” when one is a criminal white nationalist regime. Way to be a bystander.

He's not a bystander. He was a very qualified candidate for Senate and Bullock wouldn't debate him. I have nothing against Bullock he's served as Governor very well. I would like to know why he wouldn't debate. I think it's our right as voters to hear from both.

He had no viable campaign & a debate wouldn’t have affected the outcome against a Governor with a national profile. I’m not interested in candidates who can’t differentiate a three alarm fire against white nationalists, especially whining 2 weeks out from the election.

Exactly what Putin says at home. Small thinking, bud.

Comparing Bullock to authoritarian leaders is a bit of a stretch there bud. I'm sure you've met Bullock before & I doubt you feel he's a ruthless sociopath like the autocrats mentioned in the op ed. Why paint him as such when this election is about stopping fascism in the U.S.

Thanks for your point. That wasn’t my intention. But let’s not walk down a long trend line that lands at the conclusion of no debates. Politico has a good article about this. The powerful are increasingly saying no to debates, as that remains the challenger’s only small chance.

I agree that debates are vital for democracy and would have watched or listened to you and Bullock. I know what's at stake if we don't stop DT & his transnational crime syndicate & that anxiety caused me to interpret your op ed as sour grapes, two weeks out from an election.

Fair point and I get that, but I addressed Daines, too, and criticized him for more than dodging debates but for terrible policies that hurt our country. One can be a strong Dem while holding them (and GOP) to account when they and others r listening. But your point taken.
