County’s wealthiest, most privileged and cloistered suburbs. Rather than a lynchpin P&G China emissary and wheeler-dealer, he was a junior corporate lackey. (So what if HR relocated him to China?) Then his wealthy dad got him his next two jobs, the last with a brilliant (but
weird and unfit for public office) CEO and a good bit of employee-issued stock. Now he’s our U.S. senator, leading the race for another six years heading into the stretch. Unfortunately, Democrats, with this nominee, can’t do much. They can’t run credible general election ads
getting veterans to decamp the GOP. Nor small business folks. Nor farmers & ranchers. Nor energy workers. Nor rural folks. Nor anyone who isn’t already committed one way or another. But we can run ads about China and Daines, which simply enlarge Daines. And, of course, ads
about public lands, countered by Daines’ GAOA sponsorship. The only hope is to hammer away on Daines’ chronic, robotic, cowardly votes against the health and well-being of hundreds of thousands of Montanans and the ACA. And maybe step it up to a sophomore level of performance
on the final debate.
Even a close D win is gross underperformance here. Dems in U.S. Senate race should be up by 5+ - especially given the national table being set for Democrats - yet trail today by 9. #stevebullock #stepitup
