A few folks have reached out and asked me to comment on MT Secretary of State's latest. I'll leave a full reply to those in that lane (Bryce Bennett, et al). But my quip: I've traveled extensively in Israel and Palestine, understand MT reservation life better than most wasiju,
and, as an English major, like good writing and, as an engineer and MBA, prefer careful analysis over trusting my gut. Montana produces people like Metcalf, Rankin, Mansfield, and Bradley. It also produces and attracts those like Daines, Gianforte, Rosendale, and Stapleton.
I'm not surprised by Stapleton's screed. Nor have I been surprised by Daines' description of his political opponents as "Terrorist" and "Anti-American", Gianforte's Brown Shirt-like assault of a journalist, or Rosendale's shameless carpetbagging (though, admittedly, far less
shameless than that of one of our own). It is what it is, and we need to fight, organize, and nominate Democrats who can beat them in a general election, where half of voters are not in our major towns. And if we don't,
our state, nation, and planet lose - not to mention logic and sentence structure. #mtpol
