isolet in a Level IV Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit, while encouraging the nurses, doctors, and medical technicians whom have been providing him care. Leo’s first name, Leonidas, was well chosen, because he is both a lion and a warrior. He completed a long antibiotics course and

underwent surgical intervention and has rebounded in a way that almost no one expected. He is now, miraculously, doing very well and on a good path. In fact, we are looking at a near-term date when we can take him home. Claudia and I love Leo like nothing else and are infinitely

proud of him. In addition, I couldn’t be prouder of my wife, who is a wonderful mom and the best life partner I could imagine. An immigrant from a small village in Sardinia, Claudia has done so much in the nonprofit sector and as an AmeriCorps volunteer to help Americans in

need. Leo and I are incredibly lucky to have Claudia in our corner. I just wanted to let you know our circumstances these last couple months, and to emphasize that we will be channeling Leo’s fighting spirit as we return to the campaign trail. We have participated in 15 events
