Mountain Movers at Red Mountain High School’s Tweets

We got a chance to go shopping with our award from the Mesa Public Schools Foundation. We had no idea how much stuff $1000.00 could buy - this is our haul on Tuesday (aren't the students cute!). We spent less than $400 on this haul. More shopping trips to Costco in our future.

People have asked "what kind of things does the Care Closet need at this time." We are in need of new men's and women's underwear, and men's and women's tennis shoes and socks. Thanks to everyone that is making this project the huge success it is! The RM community is awesome!

I want to introduce a great program at Red Mountain HS. This program helps students and families who are struggling. The program is looking for food, clothing, personal care items, and donations. I want to help stock these shelves! Please do what you can to support MM at RM. 😻

We are still in need of a glass front commercial refrigerator for our cold beverages in the Cafe. An older branded refrigerator like the ones pictured would be great - the refrigerator just needs to work. If you know anyone that is willing to donate one - we can pick it up!

There is a new Sale area in the Mountain Movers Cafe! We are now selling NEW donated items in the Cafe as an ongoing fundraiser to benefit the Mountain Movers Club. The items will probably change from week to week, because we don't have a steady stream of any single item.

The Cafe will be closed next Tuesday and Wednesday. Next week is busy for the Applied students - there is a dance at Mesa High on Tuesday (10/30) and Club Interact is sponsoring a breakfast for our students on Wednesday (10-31), so we will be unavailable those days - sorry : (

We have had a number of questions about who we will be serving at the Cafe - well... We are glad to be opening, but we are limited in who we can serve at this time. The Cafe will only be serving teachers and staff for the foreseeable future. See second tweet for further info.
