I hope I never have to feel that pain too. But I also don’t vote for people that think it’s cool to legally own 15 assault weapons, and think bumpstocks and silencers are good things. He is part of the problem. Grieving or not, his vote caused his child’s death.

Un hmmm. Bring it. Speaking of cops getting shot.... I don’t understand how that happens. Cops have guns. I thought the only thing required to stop a bad guy with a gun was a good guy with a gun, so let’s arm teachers. So why do cops get shot? Or soldiers?

God bless this family for their loss. Now, why is anyone surprised at how liberals are treating this man? They have been treating people who don’t buy into their ideas like this for as long as I can remember. I watched it as kid in the 70s. They are no different now.

Since there is no God then there are no inherit moral code of conduct so what's wrong with killing people? That's simply your opinion not grounded in anything but your emotion. The shooter felt it was ok. So who's right?

JohnT. So how do you classify what is an assault weapons? You mentioned hunter should be allowed to have guns. Most hunting rifles are much more powerful than an AR-15. An AR is a fairly small caliber compared to most hunting rifles.

It's not about power, it's rounds per minute. How many shots can one fire with a high powered bolt action hunting rifle compared to an AR-15? Sure one punches a bigger hole, but the other punches 40 smaller ones. If you need more than 3 rounds to hunt, you shouldn't hunt.

My browning 30-6 is semi automatic. The rate of fire is not as rapid as an AR but close. The biggest difference in rate of fire is the time it takes to recover from recoil. I don’t see a lot of difference in semi autos. Just some are labeled assault weapons and some are not.
