how about Kpop artists who lipsync all the time, relying on choreo and music. They became successful and made a genre.

well here is the way I look at it Lea. When Cher made Auto-tune popular back in the 90's everybody already knew she could sing

so it was simply accepting it as a vocal effect and not a defect.
