This could be life-changing for independents like myself, providing a space for users to “invest” in content creators on Twitter, similarly to YouTube live, twitch, Patreon, etc. Digging around, it’s not clear who will be allowed to use this new feature. Any info?

This seems like a move meant to undercut other platforms by bringing them to Twitter instead. This also seems like a move meant to harness the socioeconomic windfall of the social media era sex worker, thus ensuring their own financial solvency through other people’s content.
