A lot of people have a lot to say about the and how the women who worked for the club that they filmed in was treated. Many of you have no idea that there were women who were compensated and were paid. I live in NEW YORK and I also worked with a few of the women.

Dancers knew ahead of time (2 weeks in advance) about the filming of the movie. They were told to sign up to audition for it aswell giving women opportunities to still work and make money. And also giving a heads up for women to search for work else where.

If anyone is to be at fault it’s not the production team. It’s the club itself that should be at fault for not making sure that women were at least compensated in some way for loosing the week of work.
As for the women who were in the film as an extra I know a few women who were paid $1600 and more for a day to a few days of work during the film. So some dancers did make money.
