By the way, I'd like to make it clear that the experiment was simply to wear the hat in public. We didn't do anything remotely inflammatory or investigative. We didn't even really speak to them.

I'm sorry what happened Blair, but I don't understand what good is gonna come out of poking the bear? It's not surprise that if you jump into the lions den with a steak you're gonna get bitten. I just don't see what good could have come out of this except confirmation bias.
-
I agree Lucius, but what does it say about the state of things in this country when we have to worry that our freedom of expression is considered "poking the bear?" There is no justification for how Blair was treated. Can't condone violence from either side!
-
I didn't try to justify anything. I just want to move closer to a solution and I don't think it should be a controversial stance to think that Blaire's method was flawed.
-
The problem is you are associating having a political ideology with having a flawed method. I should be able to wear what I want, pray how I want, believe how I want, love who I want without being worried about "poking the bear" Wouldn't you agree?
-
I'd agree any day of the week. And that's not the argument I'm making is that it solves nothing going forward. It's just another confirmation that fringe leftists are violent. I just don't see the point, who doesn't know that? The thing is that I hold Blair to a higher standard.
-
Your hate is the only good hate? Prejudice is wrong from any direction. Why are her political views wrong and yours correct. Don't spew racism/hate. Jr. High name calling. We have problems with individual(not bots; another hate filled term to dehumanize someone you disagree with)
-
I don't understand what you're trying to address.
-
Extreme hiprocracy. You are right and everyone else is hate? Why? Because MSM told you? So many people today think that their prejudices are justified. None of them are. I am conservative because I want smaller government and less regulation/taxes. I am called bot/racist; names.

I wore mine for about 5 blocks and back in West Hollywood last month or so as an experiment. Couple of dirty looks and some cheers from fireman going by, but it seems most people are only brace online or in groups, otherwise they're cowards...

How does anyone who is remotely Conservative live/survive in LA? SMH
-
There are tons of conservatives in Hollywood, but ultra liberals bully and blackmail us into silence....between everything that's come out this month that much should be obvious...
-
How about we don't have conservative or liberal? Lol crazy thought let's all have open minds and think for our selfs

-
Bevause although certain issues will pull people different ways there is usually a mindset to lean one way or the other in general. It's the extremes on either side that can be the problem.

I'm a liberal and I disagree with trump (although I do hope he succeeds because ultimately I want America to be strong) and I have never wanted to hurt another liberal so bad until I saw what those people did to you. Btw your hat >>>> that weird pussy hat by that fat feminist

You're the kind of person that makes this country great. Thank you Briana!

I would not be surprised if someone said “She was wearing a Trump hat, so she deserved it”. But if you ask them ”if a woman wears skimpy clothing, does she deserves the unsolicited cat-calling?”, they will stab you.
-
I disagree with what they did to Blaire and am fine with "cat-calling" but those two things are just totally different. The Trump hat is a symbol of someone's ideas, beliefs, their political action vs the other can just be what someone thinks looks good on them.
-
It is not different. Wear that hat and people assume you are racist, sexist, xenophobic, etc. Wear a mini-skirt and people will assume you are promiscuous. You condemn the negative response from a woman wearing skimpy clothing, and say her clothing does not justify barbaric —
-
response, but be it a Trump hat, and the response is still the same: barbaric. The only difference is that liberals are quick to debate about how you cannot cat-call (a non-aggressive act) a woman for it, but then do things like that. They don’t know if the person is one of —
-
their people and wanted to see what it was like, yet they still did it because to them just seeing that hate was enough for them to act barbaric. You cannot speak against foul response for an article of clothing and then physically injure someone for a hat—no matter the message.
