    The Piece Hall is Britain's only surviving cloth hall. Originally built in 1700s by merchants of Halifax to trade 'pieces' of cloth, it's recent renovation (thanks to ) has transformed it into a centre for Trade, Culture & Heritage

    Our review of 2017 recalls Sept as a busy month. We received Best Large Town and other awards from Heart of England in Bloom. Witnessed the Gilbert and Gordon project at the Guildhall; organised the conference and other Oswestry events
