I get what you're saying, but I have to say "not ALL radical feminists". It's not that I want to diminish the problem; it's that it's important to call TERFs what they are, because they use the pretense of speaking for a larger group to claim unearned legitimacy.pic.twitter.com/v36cuvGWvE

I'm almost at the point where I think the "F" in the acronym "TERF" should just be dropped. But that's just my crazy take.

So true. Their wish to be defined 'essentially' by their biology seems to be rushing back to their oppression. That's what attracted me to feminism in the 70s: its multidimensional critique of gender inequality & patriarchy. Now they just bash trans folk.

In all fairness, radical feminists are still radical feminists, it’s not their fault that their name has been stolen by a bunch of transphobes who wouldn’t know feminism from a hole in the ground.

This makes sense when talking about the likes of Posie. But the Januce Raymond - Sheila Jeffreys line did come from radical feminism.

Most feminists are not radical. Let's not forget that.
