I have a semi-auto that I use to shoot trap, skeet, and hunt with. I passed a background check and use my firearm legally. This ban would include my and many other law abiding citizens firearms. It would be nice if people trying to pass gun control laws actually knew about guns.
I’m also a teacher.I would prefer to be able to protect my students should someone come charging through my classroom door rather than have them all huddled in one spot like sitting ducks.

Can you back up your claim that armed teachers would make things worse, please? SWAT has nothing to do with this. Yes, they train daily, but they aren't onsite at the thousands of schools in the US.
Many other countries have this in effect and don’t have such said issues? So how is that the case when they don’t have mass shootings with armed teachers.... and no ones getting shot accidentally?

I completely agree. No teacher should be forced. What I have always found ironic- it’s already against my civil rights to not have the ability to even protect myself in a school/gun free zones.
