I think the problem a lot of people had was that you didn't make the "of course" part clear. Yes we understand that there are good and bad to all countries, but without giving that clarity you cause a lot of people to perceive something different from what you mean
"wow if it sucks so much why are u here all the time??" All I fucking said was theres stuff worth complaining about and that its not the best country in the world. Obv theres plenty of good things about the US as well All that college debt and y'all still suck at reading ROFLLL

It also doesn't help that in many cases there isn't a 1 to 1 comparison. Is it really fair to compare a large and very diverse country like America to another country that has like 1/4 the population and is much more homogenous? Likely not

From day 1 of public schooling it’s beaten into our heads that we’re the only truly free country in the world and that we’re the greatest at everything. Nationalism is a real problem in this country. People see criticism as fighting words instead of an opportunity to improve.

America does not take care of it's citizens as good as other countries. Terrible healthcare, insane college expenses, more incarceration than anywhere on earth, decaying infrastructure, mediocre education system. Very corrupt government. Incredibly partisan as well. I live here
