Depends....if it's a government civics class & politics is part of the lecture...yes.... even if the students are half asleep. If it's in shop class & the teacher is talking while you're using the band saw....then maybe you should shut the saw off before he gets your attention.

A discussion of history or civics would be empty without reference to politics. But teachers should NOT be preaching their own beliefs, and such preaching can be subtle, such as English reading assignments that are all Leftist. Academic freedom ends where proselyting begins.

If they are just teaching about politics without bias no. If they are shoving their political beliefs down their students throats yes absolutely!
