    “That is racist, sexist, supports white supremacy, etc”. Are not personal slurs. All of these labels refer to systems and structures which uphold that oppression. It’s not about you.

    Studying the Tuskegee syphilis experiment. How have I not heard of this before? 40 years of abuse signed off as scientific research that targeted black men who were living in poverty. The reports are devastating. I question so many aspects of my secondary education. 😔

    Yesterday I watched this. Twice. It made me think about what we are teaching our children. People of all shapes, sizes, colours, religions and sexuality have shaped our world for the better. Our children need to hear about them all. Thanks

    Having spent 17 years leading schools, I can honestly say we seek improvements because it’s our moral imperative to do so, not because some regulator rocking up every 3-4 yrs; there are better & more efficient & effective ways

    Not everyone on the deportation flight to Jamaica will be "foreign national offenders". Most will be "more British than foreign". At least 1 person has been here for 41 yrs since age 4; another a UK-born child of the generation. A third, a former injured British soldier
