A STAN LEE THREAD: It’s hard for me to quantify just how much Stan Lee influenced my life. I was a Marvel reader from a very young age. I spent hours upon hours of my childhood alone in my room reading Marvel comics. The early 70s to mid-80s were my peak Marvel years.

After all these years, I’m still amazed I got to make DOWN WITH LOVE at a major studio. It was a hyper-specific, idiosyncratic period film. It took chances and was not an easy sell. Elizabeth Gabler and Fox 2000 made it happen, and I am forever grateful. #RIPFox2000
