    @ teachers pls don't force your indigenous students to do readings that are freaking traumatizing. I shouldn't have had to calm down my cousin over the phone while she's having a panic attack bc her teacher forced her to read Indian Horse after explaining her father's a survivor

    As someone who has seen what it means to seek asylum at a border and be received with such generosity, I want to make sure we understand there are other countries who take in so many of the world's most pained people. In the United States we can do better.
