Watching Titanic on C4. It's great. Sad. Life is precious. If those people could have known their fate they would have done anything to change it. If people understood what we are facing there would be billions of us protesting #ClimateCrisis

Titanic's a great metaphor for the crisis. The poor people drown first (hello, Pakistan), while the rich on the upper decks (global north) don't even realise there's a problem b/c they're insulated from the reality of it. Then the whole ship sinks and pretty much everyone dies...

I think many do understand, but they don’t want to pursue radical change to help the world avoid the worst of climate change.
Many others value the money they are making today more than anything.
Some have given up.
Others don’t have a clue for a variety of reasons.

No one is coming to make comfortable lives possible without fossil fuels. And plenty of adults understand that this is not going to last.
