I applaud the NFL’s new policy that will fine players for showing disrespect to the American flag and our national anthem. Those fines should be substantial and should be donated to disabled veterans charities. #MaSen
Who cares? Civil disobedience is the cornerstone of the country. You don’t have to agree with their message to support the right to protest. If they were kneeling during the anthem to protest people’s access to abortion, no Republicans would complain.

You don't have the right to protest at work, which is what this boils down to. I would complain no matter what they're protesting. It's not appropriate on work time, which is what game day is for them. It's their 9-5. We can't protest at work and they shouldn't be able to either

That’s a good point, but their contracts don’t forbid it to my knowledge. It’s a harmless political statement, let them have their protest.
